Jeff and Julie Wedding - August 14, 2010

I had an opportunity to assist an amazing Wedding Photographer Kim Kirker at the amazing Casa Romantica in San Clemente. Bride and Groom were Jeff and Julie. Very laid back and fun wedding. First time I was able to witness very private Jewish wedding ceremony when the Rabbi sang to the couple and the document was signed by the parents and bride and groom. It was amazing! Jeff and Julie are so much in love...and both families seem to love them both.
Kim's website is: http://www.kimkirker.com/

Here are some photos I was able to take during their wedding.

Editorial Fashion Shoot

That was a lot of fun doing the Editorial Shoot with Katrina, Ruby, JJ and Luis! I'm finding that I am liking the Editorial aspect of photography. I just may have to do this more often and see what other creative ideas I can come up with. Anyway, here are some of the photos from the shoot. All were taken in Pasadena. My makeup artist is Melanie Ramirez....http://www.beautifulinhiseyes.net

Editorial Fashion Shoot

Editorial Fashion Photography...well, I know it's supposed to be a collaboration of great minds to put something together....but sometimes....there's just not enough great minds and talent that can do this at a very short notice...so I figured, this. Find a location, determine the time to shoot, find an amazing makeup artist, hair stylist, get myself a beautiful model to photograph. I got myself a scheduled Editorial Fashion project scheduled for this Sunday early morning in beautiful Old Town Pasadena! With it's amazing architecture and history...I hope to put together an good story line and photographs. So until Sunday...stay tuned.
Oh...will be photographing some "Harley's" after the shoot.

Mock Wedding Photo Shoot

Sunday - July 25, 2010
After a few weeks of coordinating and preparation, our Mock Wedding shoot finally came to fruition.
Gathered about 5 amazing photographers from SCPC and a very talented MUA - Bella Rose, three amazing models, and two wedding dresses...our mock wedding for the day went into full swing.
Unbeknowns to me, Crystal Cove Cottages was crowded and the State Park Ranger almost did not allow us to shoot...darn the permit issue. Well, since this was not a commercial shoot and more like a trade and workshop (showed the club's membership card), we were finally allowed to shoot until sunset!
Although we had a slight delay and a short detour to the  Irvine Spectrum to meet up with the rest of the group...it worked out to our advantage. Sunset turned out to be amazing. With our slight hurdle to jump over...I think the shoot turned our really well and everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves.

Here are a few pictures from the photoshoot and followed by a brief video as a promo tool for my photography.

I've also put together a short Wedding Video (about 30 seconds) to help promote my Wedding Photography.
Animoto has done a wonderful job with the selection of templates and music. I hope to use this as a tool to completely promote my photography, not just wedding, but a variety of others. Let me know what you think of it.

Well, that is it for now...until our next project or photo shoot!

Another NANPA Selection

Wow! I can't believe that a second picture was selected again to be featured for the daily sampler for NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Assocation). Like I said before...it makes the countless days of going out to shoot worthwhile.

Portrait - Downtown L.A.

Did a shoot in downtown L.A. at the Music Center. I didn't know what to expect with the available lighting, but I was completely amazed at how the fountain made an amazing backdrop during the shoot. I also did a few shots at the Disney Concert Hall, but I think I will need to re-do the shoot when there is more light available. Although I did capture some dramatic lighting using the only availble light I have, the lamp post. I used my Canon 50mm f1.8 lens throughout the shoot.
